Peace be Still

Good morning! We have survived hurricane Irma! This past Sunday night was one of the longest I have ever experienced. We were prepared. It looked like the storm would just graze us here in Central FL, but when I woke up at 3:00 am to wind that was howling incredibly loud for hours I was worried. I thought to myself – Carest not that we perish Lord?, and I received the same response that was given 2 millennia ago – Oh where is your faith? My response was – My faith is in You Lord! I thank God today that we are well. There are widespread power outages, but we definitely dodged a bullet. Things could have been much worse. He kept us safe. Jesus is the one who can calm the storm. Both the real hurricanes and the other ups and downs of life. We have to put our trust in Him and his perfect will and timing for our lives. Carest not that we perish Lord? The answer is yes! ❤️

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Mark 4:37-40 KJV
