Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person alone keep warm? – Eccl 4:9-11 HCSB
We need each other.
We were created for companionship and love, both with each other and God.
One of the most beautiful scenes from the word of God is God breathing life into Adam and then creating a companion for Adam out of Adam’s own rib.
Today my mind is dwelling on the importance of friendship.
What does it take to be a GOOD friend?
I think this involves in part, having integrity and being truthful and transparent as much as possible.
True friendship is also sacrificial in that a friend is someone willing to give something of value to another.
This thing of value can be a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a whispered prayer.
It doesn’t always have to have monetary value.
Let me ask – What kind of friend are you?
Somebody needs you to survive.
Be blessed today.
