Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 KJV
In this scripture from Joshua, the people of Israel were about to enter the promised land. Their leader Moses, who they loved dearly had passed away. He would not need lead them in.
I’m sure this must have been a scary time for both Joshua and the people, but here we see God take the time to personally encourage Joshua to move forward and be strong and courageous. Not only that, but He promised that he would be with him wherever he went.
Many of us are facing challenges and changes in our lives. Don’t be afraid to go out and CONQUER new territory, even if you have to do it without the person you had previously seen as a leader. Often times, others can lead us and help cultivate our strengths, but they can only take us so far. At some point, we have to take the reigns and go ahead alone.
Whatever God has called you to do in this season, He will equip you for it. Don’t be frightened and don’t be afraid. Be BOLD. Go with AUTHORITY. Remember God is with you wherever you go!
Father, thank you for the gifts, talents, and opportunities you have given me. Lord, help me to enter new territories with boldness and confidence. Build me up where I am weak. Lord, lead, guide, and direct my path. Amen.
Be blessed my friends.
