Seven Up Pound Cake

My favorite dessert hands down is 7 up Pound Cake.

Today I’m sharing the recipe.

3 cups cake flour (sifted)

3 cups of sugar

5 eggs

1 cup of butter (2 sticks)

1/2 cup of Crisco

1 cup of 7up

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Mix the butter, Crisco together until smooth. Add in the sugar 1 cup at a time and mix well. Add the vanilla and mix well. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add the sifted flour 1 cup at a time, alternating with the 7 up and mixing well after each addition.

Once combined pour into a bundt pan. Tap the pan lightly on the counter to get out any air bubbles.

Place in the oven and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 – 15 mins.
