Any Barren Areas in Your Life?

“There is no one holy like the Lord;
    there is no one besides you;
    there is no Rock like our God.  – 1 Samuel 2:2

The more I learn about our God, the more I love him and give him praise!

This scripture is part of a song Hannah wrote about God after the birth of Samuel. Hannah had been barren and wanted a son. So she went to the temple and prayed and cried out to God and he heard her and answered her prayer.

This is something that I had to learn to do. I wanted things and would go to God in prayer but not consistently or not at all. A lot of times I would talk about it, but never pray about it! Many times when problems would arise, God would be my last resort.

When we get on our knees and talk to God, that’s when things begin to change. There is a shifting in the atmosphere as God begins to move. It’s not always right away, but many times I can look back and see how God worked things out behind the scenes for me and my family.

He Has been a provider, protector, and a healer. I have seen healing with my own eyes.  Not just my healing but the healing and deliverance of  others.

Are there any barren areas in your life? Areas where you want to start something new but it never seems to work out. Have you talked to God about it?

If you have tried it your way, why not give God a chance to change things around?

Prayer: Father God, thank you for all you have done for me. I thank you for being my rock and my salvation. Help me to remember that there is nothing You can’t do. I submit every area of my life to you for renewal and re-birthing right now. For I know from Your word you can take what was once barren and give it life.
