I woke up with today’s verse on my mind. In this stanza the prophet Nathan had just spoke to David about his relationship with Bathsheba. It took a gentle rebuke from the man of God to help David see how wrong and selfish he had been.
Often times we get caught up in what we want and although we know it’s wrong, we do things we shouldn’t to have them. We may lie, cheat, steal, or use other unsavory tactics to get what we desire. We spend too much Money, we get into debt, or we make concessions all to grasp an often fleeting moment of satisfaction. We know these things aren’t right but sometimes we try to fool ourselves into thinking there is no harm done. Unfortunately, God sees it all and he knows better.
I give thanks for Him today because he is so awesome and full of grace. His mercies are new and tender each day.
Forgiveness is ours when we sincerely repent and ask for it. All we have to do is ask.
