Hello friends! The events in Charleston, SC left me deeply saddened today. These types of things seem to be happening more and more. My prayers go out to the families, the church, and the community of Charleston. As I reflect on what happened, the verse I’m sharing today seems so apropos. The times today seem to be getting more and more wicked. People, in some cases, seem to care less and less for each other now days.
I love what this scripture says –
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chron 7:14
God”s word tells us here, that if we turn from our own sinful ways and seek him, then God will hear our prayers, and then there will be healing in the land. We need healing here now, just as the people did back when this scripture was first given.
There are 3 requirements listed:
- Our Humbleness
- Turning from our own wicked ways
- Seeking God
I’m willing to do all of this if it means God will hear me and answer my prayers. Would you join me in praying not only for me and my family, but for our cities, our country, and even the entire land.
Perhaps together, united in prayer, we could change the world and bring about healing of the land.
